Ethan Learner ( Joaquin Phoenix) is a professor of a small American community. Happily married to Grace (Jennifer Connelly) and two children to change the perspective of life, when Dwight (Mark Ruffalo), a lawyer, invested his son, killing him on Reservation Road and then run away scared of the consequences. Drama, perhaps too much, this Reservation Road, the second by Terry George after the worldwide success of Hotel Rwanda. The plot immediately draws Iñárritu film Reservation Road, but for which little by that share, except for a certain taste in 'add strength to the characters. Instead, the film looks particularly at George Todd Field's film, especially the way we could enter the eye of the camera in the household: making us enjoy the drama with almost scientific method of mothers, fathers and sons. But is not George Field and his film remains on the surface. Of course it is not required to have the same narrative power of "In the Bedroom" but trying to come up with something that is beyond Elementary blend of Tragedy-Pain "was not a request so great. The story is not credible in its development fund and real characters rather than symbols of human weaknesses are mostly of the figurines with the tear ready. Even the subplot of clone of the "Death Wish", which could make it special, is able to complete because the director did not dare to sink. I mean to say that the film is almost a compliment deboluccio seems to tear a movie that excites, but does not think mostly can not even complete the final nell'inspiegabile (instead there is an explanation, but the division of pain for myself not is material to be analyzed, and the bottom is too easy to end it this way). There But something "good" in this Reservation Road: a critique of all the association for the protection of civil rights (in this case against the pirates of the road) to remove offenders from the family reality the victims themselves. I do not know if it is right to criticize, but at least there is something in the film that does not call directly to other films. The rest, unfortunately, is the usual old story of private emotions. Difficult even to mention the cast, everyone does their job, but it was hard to emerge from much flatness. Avoidable
